Senior Enterprise Risk Manager

Within the clients enterprise risk management (ERM) practice, the people are concerned with the identification and synthesis of all risk types in an aggregated risk profile on a group-wide basis, which is then compared to the clients risk appetite and is reported on to the Enterprise Risk Committee. In addition ERM is dedicated to the specific enterprise risks such as strategic-, reputational-, model- and ESG-risk. In the context of 'change', ERM is often involved in strategically relevant change programs and supervisory-related processes (e.g. SREP and Resolution Planning).

Profile:

You will support the client in setting and realising its mission and strategy by your contribution to the timely identification, assessment and management of enterprise relevant risks in close cooperation with the 1st line. You will hereby actively engage in both run and 'change' activities and processes from a risk management and control perspective, within your field of responsibility.

To be successful in this role, you;

  • hold an academic degree in a relevant direction and have an extensive amount of enterprise-risk-related experience.
  • are a professional in the field of risk management and possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the regulatory context (e.g. CRR, CRD and BRRD).
  • have strong communication skills (both verbally as in writing) and you have a well-developed sense of organisational relationships and sensitivities.
  • approach and work in a structured way, striking the right balance between detail and overview.

Key Skills:

  • You will be responsible for the further development and implementation of the area of strategic risk management, taking into account the guidance of senior management.
  • You will perform research and analysis on strategically relevant topics and report and advise on these, mostly at senior management level.
  • You will be involved in recurring ERM topics including the Risk Appetite, Strategic Risk Assessments and the Corporate cycle.
  • You will take on responsibility for (part of) the overarching enterprise risk management policies and processes, and the implementation thereof.
  • You will actively participate in risk governance bodies and/or initiate conversations with senior management and other stakeholders within the field of enterprise risk.
  • You will engage in enterprise-relevant change programs from a 2nd line perspective and deliver both solicited and unsolicited advice or opinions.
