The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial health by managing payment collections and fostering strong customer relationships. This position involves several key responsibilities:
Account Management
- Manage assigned agent and broker account balances under the Accounts Receivable Manager's guidance.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports regularly to identify and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Proactively contact agents and brokers about overdue invoices, negotiate payment arrangements, and resolve disputes to maintain cash flow
Payment Processing and Reconciliation
- Accurately process incoming payments by analyzing and applying cash deposits after matching checks and wire transfers to outstanding invoices.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of customer accounts and collaborate with agents and brokers to resolve discrepancies.
- Support the monthly closing process by completing necessary reconciliation tasks in a timely manner.
Customer Service and Communication
- Provide excellent service to agents and brokers in resolving billing matters.
- Maintain strong communication skills and a professional, courteous manner when addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify and help implement enhancements to accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
