We are seeking a qualified Lawyer to join the Asia Global Markets Legal team of our multinational financial services client of ours. This role will primarily focus on the Asia ex-Japan GM Equities business, including equity OTC derivatives, corporate equity derivatives solutions, structured equity-linked products, and cash equities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to the Asia Global Markets franchise, with a focus on Equities and Client Financing Solutions desks.
- Draft and review term sheets, transaction documentation, and materials for structured derivatives and equity-related transactions.
- Advise on equity-related products, initiatives, and related business matters.
- Provide legal advice on life-cycle and extraordinary events impacting transactions and businesses.
- Offer legal insight on market trends, regulatory changes, and related projects.
- Manage external counsel when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction with at least 10 years of experience in an international law firm or investment bank.
- Expertise in equity derivatives and structured products.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused.
- Strong relationship-building skills with business teams, clients, and external counsel.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Chinese language skills are a plus).
