This are your responsibilities

As a Team Lead for (A)-IRB Models, you will help bring model validation and model governance within this bank to a higher level. The team will be looking for your guidance and vision on the validation of the next generation models. Do you think you have the skills and experience to identify model risks and challenge the model developers and other stakeholders?

  • Lead a team of validators to perform high quality validations of (A)-IRB credit risk (PD, EAD,LGD) models in alignment with the strategy and plan.
  • Support preparation of clear and concise validation reports, and communicate findings to model developers, senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Effective management of internal (model development, internal audit) and external
  • (supervisory authorities) stakeholders to ensure models meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory engagements and onsite inspections from ECB/DNB.
  • Lead model governance activities regarding maintenance of the Model Inventory and supporting timely submissions to the Model Risk Committee .
  • End-to-end management of validation projects including setting up project planning and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Guiding several junior and medior validators and ensure high quality of their work and adherence to the validation procedures.
  • Support member development activities, coach and support direct reports in meeting their personal development objectives.

This is you

  • A Master's degree in Econometrics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or other quantitative discipline.
  • At least several years of experience in model validation, and at least 2 years of experience in leading model development or model validation teams.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of regulatory framework and standards for (A)-IRB models.
  • Experience on on-site inspections and communication with regulatory authorities
  • Project lead experience in model development or model validation.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and reporting skills in English, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in executing quantitative analyses using statistical programs such as Python/R is a plus.
