ServiceNow Developer - CMDB | Contract Opportunity | Inside IR35 | London

  • Day rate: Maximum £630 per day
  • Location: Central London - Hybrid (weekly)
  • Onboarding process: Can take 4-6 weeks; ideal for someone ready to transition from their current role.
  • Contract Length: Initial 6-month engagement with potential for a further 6-month extension.

A global financial organisation undertaking significant work within the ServiceNow space. This role involves contributing to a complex and impactful ServiceNow implementation.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer with a strong background in managing complex CMDB migrations and enhancements. You will play a key role in a strategic project for a major European investment bank, ensuring ServiceNow serves as the definitive golden source for their Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Act as the senior ServiceNow SME, engaging with stakeholders through workshops and ensuring architectural alignment with the CMDB strategy.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to accurately estimate and prioritise development tasks based on user stories.
  • Deliver innovative solutions to address business challenges, leveraging out-of-the-box ServiceNow capabilities and ITIL frameworks.

Development Expertise

  • Extensive experience in ServiceNow platform development, particularly CMDB and the CSDM framework.
  • Design, develop, and test technical solutions, ensuring robust integration.
  • Manage customer-reported defects and backlog items, adhering to ServiceNow best practices for code management.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, potentially including external partners.

Documentation and Continuous Learning

  • Lead sprint planning, develop user stories, and create technical documentation to support delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow updates, patches, and product developments.
  • Maintain existing certifications and pursue relevant new ones to support client requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in running workshops and providing expert guidance on ServiceNow architectural strategies.

Technical Proficiency

  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform development, particularly in CMDB and CSDM.
  • Proven experience in delivering custom solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Skilled in managing and integrating technical components in a collaborative team environment.
