Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud Technologies) - Zurich
We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer, who thrives on delivering exceptional service and building strong customer relationships to join a highly successful IT Services business, based just outside of Zurich.
The company provide IT services and solutions to a wide ranging variety of clients who are going through digital transformations.
The role:
Within the role, the successful Senior Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge infrastructure solutions for a diverse range of customers.
You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams, taking full ownership of solutions through the full project life cycle.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Design IT infrastructure solutions tailored to bespoke customer needs.
- Lead projects as both an architect and project manager, so strong communication skills are imperative.
- Present architectures, lead technical workshops and communicate confidently at all levels.
- Work with technologies including Windows Server, Microsoft365, Azure Cloud, and workplace management systems.
- Oversee data center solutions, including virtualization, storage, networks, backup, and firewalls.
- Adapt to diverse customer environments, from SMEs to enterprise-level projects.
Ideal skills / Background:
- Several years in a Senior Systems Engineer or similar role, with project management and architectural expertise.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft products, cloud technologies, data centers, and workplace management, supported by relevant certifications.)
- A structured, communicative, and customer-oriented approach.
- Fluency in both German and English.
