Snr Business Analyst

London (Hybrid)

£70,000 - £85,000 per annum

I am currently working with a leading global insurance group who specialise in the run off market, who are looking to expand their team with a Senior Business Analyst. This role will be focussed on integrating a new businesses, including their finance systems, processes and business operations. In this role you will be responsible for working with a range of senior partners, stakeholders and wider team members on complex business requirements and processes to deliver high quality solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Eliciting and documenting complex business requirements and recommending solutions in support of enterprise-wide business and IT strategies
  • Produce functional and non-functional specifications as well as other deliverables in line with the internal project methodology
  • Engage with senior stakeholders for analysis of business requirements and developing solutions aligned with business and IT strategies
  • Work collaboratively with the development team on a technical level and make suggestions for process improvement and technical solutions
  • Ensure all compliance and operational risk controls comply with internal and regulatory standards and policies
  • Facilitation of complex workshop sessions and senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to BA practices and the BA framework engaging in continuous improvements on existing BA processes

Skills & experience:

  • 5+ years of Lloyd's / London market insurance experience working as a Business analyst
  • Experience delivering finance system integration
  • Professional qualifications in Business analysis and Project management (desirable)
  • Experience delivering process improvement (Lean 6 Sigma - desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Business analysis methodologies / processes based on IIBA, PMI or BCS
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, execute and control smaller projects in line with a structured PM environment
  • Ability engage with stakeholders and SMEs at all levels within the business a and offer advice on process improvement, contributing to the BA practice
  • Confident working with Microsoft products including MS office, Visio, Access and Azure DevOps
