Risk & Analytics Engineering Support - Contract
Oliver James is partnering with a global trading business based in Zurich to find a Risk & Analytics Engineering Support contractor for a temporary period.
You will play an important role in supporting the risk department in migrating from legacy systems by developing a new proprietary code base developed in T-SQL and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the replacement and migration of legacy code and data to a new code base developed in T-SQL and Python
- Develop and extend a new proprietary SQL schema in MS SQL Server 2022 for the market risk and data department
- Replace legacy interfaces with a new interface using a REST API in Python and T-SQL
Requirements
- Experience in T-SQL, Python, R, MS SQL Server and Azure DevOps
- Business Fluency in English
- Experience in C# / .NET / Databricks is preferred but not essential
- Experience in migration of data, interfaces and code would be preferred but not essential
- Industry experience related to risk management, trading, or banking would be advantageous
Start Date: c. January 2025

Contract Duration: 6-month initial contract, with potential for extension
