Our client, a leading insurer, is seeking a Program Manager to lead and drive strategic data initiatives focused on the development and management of their data platform. Your role will involve overseeing the planning, implementation, and optimization of data programs within the AWS environment, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, scoping, resourcing, and delivery of major data platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Oversee the portfolio of work for the Data teams, managing impediments, major risks, and dependencies to drive planning and execution
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation strategies and ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives
- Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly
- Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders
- Monitor progress and report status to executive leadership including C-level.
- Lead cross-functional teams and supervise all facets of data projects from initiation to implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience with related technologies, including leading significant cross functional projects in mid-size or large companies
- Experience in cloud data platforms, preferably in AWS
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify simple and effective solutions
- Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize tasks
