We are looking for a Procurement Transformation director in Hong Kong for a US based Food Service manufacturing business (sustainable disposables). This is a new role looking at integrating disparate procurement teams into one centralized procurement function in Asia and adopting strategic sourcing and category management best practice into the organization. Reporting into the Global VP of Procurement based in the US, you will manage the Hong Kong office in addition to driving procurement excellence throughout their APAC operations.

1. Change Management Leadership:
  • Assess current state and develop/execute a comprehensive change management strategy to implement global category management.
  • Identify change interventions needed and lead/manage change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption to the business e.g. working with early adopters
  • Drive the integration of procurement operations by aligning processes, systems, and teams across different regions and functions.
  • Develop clear and compelling communication plans to articulate vision, benefits, and progress of the change initiatives.
  • Engage and train teams at all levels to build capability and understanding of category management to support for new ways of working.
2. Category Management and SRM Implementation/Integration:
  • Implement end to end global category management framework across procurement categories including plastic, paper, aluminum, and molded fiber products.
  • Collaborate with category managers and procurement operations teams to develop category strategies, sourcing plans, and supplier relationship management programs.
  • Ensure alignment of category strategies with overall business objectives and procurement goals.
  • Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of category processes, tools, and systems across the organization, as appropriate
  • Establish category governance and performance monitoring mechanisms to ensure sustained improvement.
  • Provide leadership to one or more spend categories, including development and roll out of structured Supplier relationship management program
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Unit stakeholders, including senior leadership and functional teams.
  • Provide regular updates on change initiatives, progress, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and communication plans to support change adoption and capability building.
4. Performance Measurement and Reporting
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to track the success and impact of change initiatives and category management implementation.
  • Monitor and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Demonstrate ROI and other benefits of procurement investments to senior leadership.
