Our client, a leading Private Equity asset manager, is looking for a Fund Controller to join their growing fund accounting team. Our client works on a hybrid model in downtown Chicago. Compensation is competitive and there are comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage fund administrator and collaborate with greater internal finance and accounting team
- Collaborate with stakeholders, portfolio management teams, and operations teams to project fun cash flow and understand fund structure
- Complete capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations for internal funds
- Lead quarter and year end close processes
- Provide mentorship and coaching for junior members of the accounting and finance team
- Participate in additional projects as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA is a plus
- At least 7-10 years of experience in financial service industry or public accounting firm, with specialisation in private equity, private credit, hedge fund, fund of funds and venture capital funds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
