Key Responsibilities:
- Product Pricing & Profitability Analysis (20%)
Lead the pricing of new products and campaigns to meet our financial objectives. Analyse existing products for profitability and assess features from a risk perspective.
- Product Design Review
Propose enhancements to product designs and actuarial assumptions for new pricing strategies.
- Implementation Oversight
Manage actuarial activities during the product implementation cycle, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while adhering to internal and regulatory approval time lines.
- Experience Studies & Assumptions
Conduct experience studies and timely propose best estimate assumptions. Identify and report any adverse trends or anomalies.
- Actuarial Support for Distribution
Represent the Actuarial team in distribution initiatives and special projects, including the implementation of new regulatory frameworks.
- Team Coordination
Assist in coordinating tasks and resources for the team.
- Training and Development
Mentor and develop team members in product knowledge and pricing techniques, regularly reviewing their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8-13 years of actuarial experience
- Fellowship in a recognized actuarial professional organisation
- Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques; knowledge of actuarial software is a plus
