- Collaborate effectively within the Actuarial department and with company leaders
- Recommend rate changes based on portfolio performance
- Lead state and product rate reviews and filings
- Drive the actuarial component of the company's planning processes
- Identify, retrieve, and prepare internal and external data for actuarial analysis
- Implement advanced analytics models for pricing and other applications
- Identify segments with profitable growth potential or underperforming segments and propose strategy adjustments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or MS in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or equivalent
- ACAS or FCAS designations preferred
- 7+ years of actuarial experience in insurance pricing, preferably in commercial lines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and programming languages like SQL, R, or Python
- Clear and purposeful communication skills
- Ability to challenge norms while collaboratively working with colleagues at all organizational levels
