Director of Finance - Health Market
Our client, a leading health insurer, is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Finance to join their dynamic Accounting and Finance department.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the Finance department and oversee all financial operations within the company.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to support the company's growth objectives.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Provide insightful analysis, recommendations, and support to senior management to drive effective business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including executives, auditors, and external partners.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Knowledge in areas of health care finance, business development, physician relationship building, government regulations, management theory, reimbursement, budgeting, health technologies, research, outcome measurement, human relations, and other areas as appropriate.
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- Positive and affirming demeanor in one's approach to dealing with people and problems.
- Fluency in computer applications, advanced analytical skills using software such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, various accounting software experience, and other analytical tools.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification preferred.
- Proven track record of successful leadership in a finance function, preferably in the Health Insurance industry.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with financial software and systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting tools, reporting platforms).
